The annual humpback whale migration generally takes place from June through November, with peak activity often occurring between July and October.

During this remarkable journey, whales travel north to warmer tropical waters to breed and calve before returning south with their young later in the season.

Because St Lucia lies directly along this migration route, visitors have exceptional opportunities to witness whales breaching, tail slapping, spy hopping and travelling with calves.

Morning ocean conditions are generally calmer, offering excellent viewing opportunities and beautiful natural light for photography.
