WILDLIFE OF ST LUCIA
The waters of St Lucia support one of the richest concentrations of wildlife in southern Africa. Hippos and crocodiles share the estuary with countless bird species, while the nearby Indian Ocean becomes a seasonal highway for humpback whales, dolphins and other marine life.
Every outing offers a different encounter. Some mornings belong to fish eagles and kingfishers, others to pods of hippos emerging through the mist. Offshore, dolphins often appear unexpectedly, reminding us that nature writes its own itinerary.
